603 Bright Futures Survey. (posted 06.09.21)

 Dear Bedford Families,

The New Hampshire Department of Education wants to hear from staff, families, and community members.   The 603 Bright Futures Survey is an opportunity for you to have your voice heard. These surveys will gather feedback around learning, school climate, family and community engagement, and parent involvement in special education. Parents completing the survey should complete it once for each child.

The New Hampshire Department of Education  hopes to gain insight regarding the successes and challenges of the recent school year and to plan for the 2021-2022 school year. The Department of Education has partnered with Panorama Education to implement the 603 Bright Futures Survey. The survey will remain open until June 30.

Please use the following link to access the survey. Your feedback is valuable.

Introducing the Emergency Broadband Benefit (EBB) program

Introducing the Emergency Broadband Benefit (EBB) program

At the end of last year, Congress established the Emergency Broadband Benefit (EBB) program. On February 25, the FCC adopted an order to implement the program designed to help low-income households and households that have suffered a substantial loss of income to connect to the Internet and stay connected during the COVID-19 crisis.

The Benefit Includes up to $50/month discount for broadband service from any participating Internet service provider, including Comcast, and is limited to one monthly service discount per eligible household. Both new and existing customers who qualify can take advantage of the Federal government broadband subsidy. The subsidy can be applied to any tier of Xfinity Internet, including Internet Essentials. Internet Essentials customers automatically qualify and will just need to enroll.

New customers should start by confirming their eligibility through the federal National Verifier, at The Emergency Broadband Benefit Program (getemergencybroadband.org).

For more details about the program, please check the following links.

The Bedford School District does not administer this program - you should work directly with Comcast or your Internet Provider. Most of our families do use Comcast, but because this program is nationwide, other providers should also be participating, including the mobile providers.
